Rooted in a generational tradition of publishing, Yogi Publishers was built on a foundation of passion, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Son of Achratlal R. Sheth, a pioneer in the publication business and founder of the legendary R R Sheth & A R Sheth companies. J. A. Sheth carried forward this legacy to establish Yogi Publishers.
Late Shri Jitendra Achratlal Sheth relocated to Ahmedabad from Mumbai in 1974, bringing with him decades of expertise in the printing business — including the distinction of printing books for the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha before Aksharpith Press.
In 1976, he founded Yogi Prakashan — a well-known quality educational publisher for the Gujarat Board, publishing books for students from 1st to 7th Standard.
As his sons — Bhavesh (with a Printing Technology degree from Bombay Technical University) and Harish (with a BCom from Calcutta University) — joined the business in the early 1980s, the firm underwent a remarkable transformation. Their complementary skills in technology and commerce laid the groundwork for the innovations that followed.
On 10th July, 1991, Yogi Publishers Pvt. Ltd. was officially incorporated, with Bhavesh and Harish as founding directors — marking a new chapter in Gujarat's educational publishing history.
Today, with a dedicated staff of 20–25 and a 3,000 sq. ft. warehouse, YPPL continues to serve as a market leader in GSEB supplementary educational books.
